Study to design support for the governance in Sierra Leone’s transport sector.

Project Description:

Regional project meant to address the political, legal and institutional components for improved transport policy implementation. Will help to improve governance in the transport sector through the drafting and monitoring of regional community directives and rules, harmonization of practices and implementation of the rules at national level.
In particular, the project wil improve the sustainability of road investments (putting a stop to overloading and better governance of road maintenance), improve transport conditions and help set up a facility for technical assistance and studies to assist in preparing blended loan/grant funding operations.
